September 13-15 in Chantilly, Virginia, is quickly approaching!
I wanted to make you aware of two important updates regarding our Conference.
1.) I’m proud to announce that Congressman Ron Paul is confirmed to speak!
For over 30 years, Congressman Paul has stood up in defense of the Constitution
and individual freedom, and his founding of C4L in 2008 ensured a continuing
grassroots impact on the political landscape by liberty-minded activists.
Congressman Paul joins Senator Rand Paul, Senator Mike Lee, Joel Salatin, Jack
Hunter, Mike Church, and many more as an LPAC 2012 speaker.
2.) Our Early Bird rate, which discounts tickets to all three days of main
stage activities to only $85 (and includes our grassroots training), was
scheduled to expire July 1.
But to help as many people as possible attend LPAC 2012, we’re extending the
time to take advantage of this rate.
The Early Bird discount will now be available through July 8!
We won’t be able to stretch our deadline again. So once this deal is
gone, it’s gone!
Although we’ve extended our Early Bird rate, don’t wait until the last minute
to save your spot.
LPAC 2012 is guaranteed to be an exciting, motivating, and encouraging weekend
for all those desiring to reclaim the Republic and restore the Constitution.
And our grassroots training will equip you with the tools you need to turn your
passion into effective action.

Former Gov. Gary Johnson of New Mexico,
the presidential candidate of the Libertarian Party, will be looking to steal a
little of the national spotlight away from the Republican convention in Tampa
in August as he makes a pitch to supporters of U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas.
With Paul not expected to endorse former
Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts, the presumptive Republican presidential
candidate, the Johnson camp hopes to make inroads with the maverick Texas
congressman’s backers.
National Campaign Manager John
Tate condemns Shreveport event’s “unnecessary conflict” and applauds its
“positive conclusion”
LAKE JACKSON, Texas – The Ron Paul 2012
Presidential campaign released the following statement concerning the outcome
of the Louisiana State Republican Convention.
Below please find comments from National Campaign Manager John Tate:
“The Ron Paul campaign condemns the
unfortunate activities that took place at the Louisiana Republican State
Convention in Shreveport.
“However, we also wish to highlight and
applaud the fact that the convention ended on a high note reflective of the
cooperation all Republicans wish to see toward the mutual aim of defeating
President Obama in the November general election.
“The unnecessary conflict, and positive
conclusion as we understand it, transpired as follows.
“LAGOP officials ignored the vast
majority of duly elected delegates and attempted to use illegally adopted rules
to deny Ron Paul supporters an opportunity to attend the Republican National
Convention in Tampa. Louisiana has 46
delegates. Five were pledged to Mitt
Romney based on the March 23rd primary result and Rick Santorum received 10,
meaning most delegates were contestable at the state convention.
“Delegates to the state convention were
chosen at caucus meetings on April 28th.
Ron Paul slates won four of six congressional district contests. Of the approximately 180 delegates attending
the state convention, 113 voted to remove the LAGOP chairman when he failed to
respond to requests for information and other motions from delegates. Nearly two-thirds of the delegates began
physically moving their chairs, literally turning their back on the GOP chair
appointed by the party hierarchy.
“In another instance, State Central
Committeeman and Ron Paul supporter Henry Herford Jr. of Franklin Parrish was
attacked by some security officials who didn’t realize that the body had voted
out the previous chairman. Mr. Herford
has a prosthetic hip and according to a doctor at the scene it appears as
though the prosthetic was dislocated and may require replacement. The injury occurred as he was beginning to
call to order the newly re-formed convention.
“In yet another instance, Ron Paul
supporter Alex Helwig, Chairman of the Rules Committee who made the motion to
remove the chair, was arrested by Shreveport police and released. During his brief detainment, some of his
fingers were broken and when he returned to the event he was walking with aid
of a cane.
“By 10:50 a.m. today, the newly formed
convention completed its work.
Newly-elected national delegates met with the Romney campaign’s
Louisiana Chairman, Scott Sewell, who graciously said ‘that he supported the
effort and would do everything he could to make sure the delegation was seated’
in Tampa.
“Despite the divisiveness that
characterized the Louisiana state convention initially, we are thankful that
the Paul and Romney campaigns took the high road to guarantee the
enfranchisement of Republicans whose candidate preferences differ.
“Republicans of goodwill agree that
following the spirited primary season, the general election presents us with an
opportunity to defeat Obama and place the nation on a path to recovery.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with those
who were injured at the convention. And,
we thank all responsible convention participants for ending the day on a more
unified note.”

Remember when the Kony 2012 people
"made Kony famous" by plastering theiur neighborhoods? Well it's time
for US to do something WORTHWHILE and remind people, not just in Los Angeles
County, but ALL ACROSS AMERICA that Ron Paul is STILL IN THIS RACE and he's in
it to win it!
June 1-4 we will be covering the night
in LA County. If you're not in LA County or in California, get in touch with a
local Youth for Paul chapter or a Ron Paul meetup group and START a Cover the
Night for Ron Paul in YOUR TOWN.
Each day, I go through stories similar
to this one. Some I share, others I don’t. Yet, each demonstrates how Ron Paul
supporters are reshaping the Republican Party from the bottom-up. From a story
in Washington’s Bellingham Herald titled “Whatcom GOP sees flood of precinct
filings from Ron Paul supporters:”
Ron Paul supporters filed en masse to
run for Republican Party precinct committee officers, grass-roots elected seats
that will be on this year’s primary election ballot.
The goal, said one PCO race newcomer, is
to return the party to the principles it used to have.
“It needs to change,” said Greg Parsons,
who is running against PCO Kathy Kershner. “I do have some issues with
establishment Republicans. On the contrary, I think we are, in fact, the real,
true conservative Republicans.”
PCO seats, elected every two years,
often receive no interest, or only one person files. This year, because of a
flood of interest in Republican PCO seats, many more contested races will be on
the ballot…
But nearly an equal number of names
unfamiliar to party officials appeared on the filing list, and many challenged
longtime PCOs. By comparing them to the list of caucus participants, they
learned they are Paul supporters, Van Werven said.
“I suspect that they are interested in
organizing – reorganizing – the local Republican Party,” Van Werven said.
Gains in Michigan, Minnesota,
Vermont and Virginia affirm delegate-attainment strategy
LAKE JACKSON, Texas – Supporters of 2012
Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul have propelled him to an historic
win in Minnesota this weekend, with delegate gains having occurred in multiple
other states as well.The recent
achievements affirm Paul’s delegate-attainment strategy, and support the notion
that he and his platform will be featured prominently at the Republican
National Convention in Tampa this August.
In Minnesota, Paul organizers won a
decisive 12 of 13 delegates to the RNC at the Rivers Edge Convention Center in
St. Cloud, wrapping up the North Star State’s two-tier nominating contest.Earlier this spring, Paul supporters won 20
of 24 delegates at district conventions. In all, the Paul camp has swept the state of Minnesota winning 32 of the
state’s 40 national delegates.
In addition to Paul’s consequential
victory in Minnesota, Paul organizers won delegates in Mitt Romney’s home state
of Michigan.There, Paul supporters
estimate that they have won eight voting slots plus one non-voting delegate and
11 alternates.Of the 14 Congressional
District voting contests held this weekend, Paul organizers won RNC delegates
in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 9th Districts, denying Detroit-born Romney a
clean sweep of his home state. The
Michigan victory occurred despite a heavy Romney campaign presence promoting a
win for the establishment pick and presumptive nominee.
At the Vermont Republican State
Convention this weekend, Ron Paul supporters won two of 14 national delegates,
with two more considered potential allies, and they won 10 of 14
alternates.In all, Vermont has 17
delegates including super delegates.
Finally in Virginia, 11 district
conventions have been taking place in recent weeks and have ended this
weekend.In those contests Ron Paul
supporters won 17 of 33 national delegates selected, with the remainder of the
state’s 49 delegates including super delegates to be selected at the June 16th
state convention.Also in Virginia, Paul
supporters elected a Republican Congressional District Chair in the Third
District, over a dozen liberty-oriented Republican State Central Committee
Members five of whom are Ron Paul supporters, dozens of Republican county and
city committee chairs, and hundreds of county and city committee members.
“Victories in Minnesota and other states
demonstrate that Ron Paul supporters possess the adaptability, organizational
muscle, and unmatched enthusiasm required to continue winning delegates in
upcoming contests,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Manager John Tate.
“We’re also pleased to see Ron Paul
supporters engaged in party-building to broaden the activist and voting base
that will advance Republican majorities for many years to come,” added Mr.
Tate.
