Ron Paul Super PAC Maintains Media Boycott with Nevada Broadcast

Revolution PAC kicks off caucuses with third live election results show.

NORTHBROOK, IL – February 2, 2012 – Revolution PAC, backer of U.S. Rep. Ron Paul’s bid for the Republican presidential nomination, will kick off a week of critical contests Saturday with its third live election results show. The webcast, held in conjunction with the Nevada Caucuses, will begin at 6:00 p.m. CST and conclude following the announcement of the Clark County results, which is expected sometime after 9:30 p.m. CST.

Participate by logging onto www.revolutionpac.com.

In addition to real-time coverage of the Nevada contest, Saturday’s program – the third in RevPAC’s groundbreaking alternative news series – will examine the Maine Caucuses, taking place over the next week, as well as Tuesday’s Colorado and Minnesota caucuses. Participants numbered in the tens of thousands during the super committee’s first two live broadcast events.

“Ron Paul placed second in Nevada in 2008, and he’s only grown his wellspring of support in the Silver State since that time,” explains Revolution PAC Chairman Gary Franchi. “Clearly, the caucus process favors a candidate with a fervent following, like Rep. Paul, and Revolution PAC is thrilled to again be on the front lines Saturday in covering what is certain to be an invigorating outcome for the grassroots.”

Live election analysis will be provided Saturday via Skype by Revolution PAC’s Nevada correspondents, author and founder of the Blue Republican movement Robin Koerner, author and esteemed Austrian Economist Walter Block, and political writer and Republican Liberty Caucus Chairman Dave Nalle. An in-studio panel will field viewers’ Twitter and chat room queries and break down the most important issues in the race to the Republican National Convention in August.

Revolution PAC’s first-of-its-kind webcast January 21 followed the super committee’s call for a nationwide boycott of cable/network outlets, which have exhibited consistent reporting bias against Rep. Paul. On-the-ground reports suggest that at least one network – CNN – has moved with some damage control, reassigning correspondent Dana Bash from Ron Paul campaign coverage following subjective statements raised by Revolution PAC.

“While corporate media conspires to consolidate support behind its preferred candidate, ‘We the People’ must work harder and more creatively to have our voice heard,” continues Franchi. “Bottom line, delegates are the key to winning the Republican nomination. CNN and Fox won’t give you the straight story on that process. Revolution PAC will.”

The latest USA Today/Gallup Poll shows Ron Paul and Mitt Romney as the only Republican contenders competitive against Barack Obama in November.

Revolution PAC is supporting U.S. Rep. Ron Paul’s bid for the Republican presidential nomination and his consistent, constitutional message with targeted TV advertising, direct mail campaigns and innovative Web promotions complemented by billboards and radio ads in key primary states. Unlimited donations by individuals, businesses and organizations are being accepted by Revolution PAC to support that effort.

End Ron Paul Censorship!

Do you think Ron Paul is getting the media coverage he deserves? If you’re like many folks, your answer is a resounding “NO!”

After all, polls consistently show Ron Paul polling within the top three nationally, but he’s still virtually IGNORED by the national media. Can I count on you to do something about it?

The truth is, by censoring Dr. Paul’s message of small, constitutionally-limited government, the media is acting as a roadblock to this campaign.

Of course, it is important to remember that bad press and bad press relations will only hurt Dr. Paul and his message.

So it is important to present facts and enthusiastic support for Dr. Paul in a civil manner.

By establishing a good relationship with the media, we can encourage more and friendlier coverage of Dr. Paul which will help expand support for Ron Paul’s campaign.

The media is always looking for great stories, so you can help Dr. Paul by being a great source of information.

To start out, you only need to ask the question, “Why are you censoring my access to Ron Paul’s views?”

Because censorship is precisely what is going on. So take some time to courteously discuss these important FACTS with the media to explain just why Ron Paul is a serious contender:

·         Ron Paul polls consistently in a dead heat with President Obama (Rasmussen, Gallup, CNN, Rasmussen);
·         Ron Paul consistently places in the top three in major Republican Primary polls;
·         Ron Paul is number two in fundraising and number one for individual donations;
·         Ron Paul has more military donations than all other GOP candidates combined, as well as President Obama;
·         Ron Paul is a twelve-term Congressman and has spent his entire career defending the Constitution;
·         Ron Paul is the only candidate to accurately predict the housing bubble, economic crises and the devaluation of the dollar.

Once you establish the legitimacy of Dr. Paul’s candidacy,  you can then ask, “Why isn’t there more coverage of someone who meets all the requirements of a serious candidate?”

By presenting the facts in a civil manner, you can spread Dr. Paul’s message of liberty and help him win the Republican nomination.

Please contact the national media -- and your local media -- today, and remember to treat them with courtesy and respect.

Ron Paul Most Competitive Against Obama in Latest Poll

Shows Paul drawing President below 50 percent

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – In a new Reuters/Ipsos survey, 2012 Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul polls within striking distance of President Obama among registered voters.

“Our campaign has been gaining momentum for some time now, and this is yet another poll that clearly proves how competitive we are versus the President” said Ron Paul 2012 Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton. “Dr. Paul is gaining ground in poll after poll, affirming that people are looking for real change instead of the status quo they are being offered from the establishment.”

These results come just a few weeks after a Rasmussen poll showed him within a percent of President Obama in a head-to-head matchup.

Another recent Gallup survey, conducted August 17-18, shows Paul only 2 points behind Obama in a general election match-up. In a similar head to head survey from last year done by Rasmussen, Paul actually drew a statistical dead heat with the President. And earlier this year in a survey by CNN, he did the best out of the other Republicans put up against Obama in a head-to-head poll.

Gallup: Ron Paul in Top 3

The three frontrunners according to Gallup are now Rick Perry with 29%, Mitt Romney with 17% and Ron Paul with 13%.

There are two major stories here. First, Republican primary voters are so dissatisfied with the establishment candidate choices that someone like Perry is able to swoop in and take the lead from Romney almost immediately.

Second–and most important–unlike Perry or Romney, Ron Paul’s solid support remains unshakeable and continues to grow far beyond establishment expectations.

Gallup Poll: Ron Paul trails President Obama by 2 percent

Texas Rep. Ron Paul trails President Obama by just 2 percentage points, according to the latest Gallup Poll released Monday.

The poll, which finds former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney and Texas Republican governor Rick Perry as the leading candidates to challenge Mr. Obama, shows Mr. Paul trailing Mr. Obama by just two percentage points, 47 to 45 percent.

Mr. Romney matches up to Mr. Obama the best out of the 2012 presidential candidates, challenging the president 48 percent to 46 percent while Mr. Perry ties Mr. Obama with 47 percent each.

“This push for true leadership over the status quo is gaining more support,” said Paul Campaign Manager John Tate. “In poll after poll, Americans are eager for real change and looking for a leader who stands for individual liberty and limited government, and who follows the Constitution.”

Gallup: Frontrunner Paul in Dead Heat with Obama

By Jack Hunter

Ron Paul is arguably the most conservative Republican to ever run for president. Paul’s limited government principles cannot be swayed and his long and consistent record is a testament to his unique integrity.

Many people believe that such a thorough constitutionalist is far too pure to ever become president. Gallup says they’re wrong:

“President Barack Obama is closely matched against each of four possible Republican opponents when registered voters are asked whom they would support if the 2012 presidential election were held today. Mitt Romney leads Obama by two percentage points, 48% to 46%, Rick Perry and Obama are tied at 47%, and Obama edges out Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann by two and four points, respectively.”
