RON PAUL CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCES SOUTH CAROLINA TV AD BUY

Celebrated prolife and veterans ads to begin airing today in the Palmetto State

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today that it will begin airing its celebrated prolife and veterans ads – ‘Staying on the Right Path’ and ‘He Served’ – in the key early voting state of South Carolina.
The ads feature some of Ron Paul’s patients attesting to his character, professionalism, and prolife credentials and his longstanding devotion to veterans’ issues, respectively.
The ad buy is in the six-figure dollar range and begins today on broadcast and cable television.
“Airing the well-received ads ‘Staying on the Right Path’ and ‘He Served’ will bring Ron Paul’s impeccable record on the sanctity of life – at all stages of life, including at the conclusion of one’s service to the nation – to key early state voters,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.
South Carolina voters are receptive to Ron Paul’s message that life is precious and military service is honorable, all in the context of his overall philosophy of a return to personal and economic liberty,” said Mr. Benton.

Revolution PAC Releases Second in “Who is Ron Paul?” Series

Video highlights Dr. Paul’s generosity toward disadvantaged patients.

Northbrook, IL |  The second in a four-part web ad series featuring personal stories of Americans who have been affected by Republican presidential candidate and Iowa frontrunner Rep. Ron Paul was released today by Revolution PAC.

The new video, “The Compassion of Dr. Ron Paul,” features a remarkable story from the congressman’s days as a practicing obstetrician in south Texas. In 1972, James Williams of Matagorda County and his young wife found themselves under Paul’s care during a high-risk delivery. In the video, James recounts the prejudice of the day and how Dr. Paul looked beyond color lines to deliver their bi-racial child when other nurses and doctors ignored James’ pleas for help.

“He was a doctor of medicine, and that’s what he was doing, practicing medicine,” reflects Williams in the montage. “It didn’t matter who and what and why.”

Williams continues, “He’s just an honest man, and that’s something we need now in this day and time.”

The first in the video series, “Adherence to the Oath,” released last week by the super PAC supporting Rep. Paul’s presidential bid features Captain Bill Manning. In the web ad, the Vietnam and Desert Storm veteran reflects upon his service to the nation and explains Ron Paul’s resonance with all Americans who value the Constitution.

“Simply put, Ron Paul has individual appeal, regardless of where one might fall on the political, socioeconomic, age or racial spectrum,” explains Revolution PAC Chair Gary Franchi. “As he likes to say, ‘Freedom brings people together.’ We intend to convey that message in this series.”

Revolution PAC is supporting Ron Paul’s consistent, constitutional message with targeted TV advertising, direct mail campaigns and innovative Web promotions complemented by billboards and radio ads in key primary states. Unlimited donations by individuals, businesses and organizations are being accepted by Revolution PAC to support that effort. Contributions to help fund the broadcast of the “Who is Ron Paul?” series in key primary states may be made at RevolutionPAC.com/compassion.

Iowa State Sen. Kent Sorenson Endorses Ron Paul for President

Former Iowa chairman for U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann pivots to Paul camp citing, “Ron Paul has established himself as the clear choice.”

ANKENY, Iowa – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul was endorsed today by Iowa State Senator Kent Sorenson (R-Indianola) in a major pivot that promises to give Paul extra momentum in the run-up to the January 3, 2012 Iowa Caucus.

In making his endorsement Sen. Sorenson is leaving his post as Iowa chairman for U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann’s presidential campaign here.  The resignation and endorsement take effect immediately.

“Congressman Paul is delighted to accept the endorsement of Senator Kent Sorenson, whose blessing and assistance carry a great deal weight in Iowa.  The fact that he doesn’t take this decision lightly tells a great deal about the Senator and Ron Paul.  This endorsement is a rare find and we hope it pushes us nearer to our goal of a strong top-three finish at the January caucus,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.

Kent Sorenson was elected to the Iowa Senate in 2011 and represents District 37 after serving in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2009 to 2011, representing District 74.  The senator is a member of several committees including the Judiciary, Natural Resources and Environment, and State Government committees.  He is also the ranking member of both the Senate and Joint Oversight Committees and a member of the Advisory Council for Agricultural Education, the Family Development and Self-Sufficiency Council, and the Human Rights Board.

Senator Sorenson has been leader in the fight in defense of traditional family values, the sanctity of life, and a restoration of Second Amendment rights.

The full endorsement statement from Senator Sorenson follows.

Sorenson Statement
The decision I am making today is one of the most difficult I have made in my life.  But given what’s at stake for our country, I have decided I must take this action.

Today, I am switching my support from Michele Bachmann to Ron Paul for the 2012 Iowa Caucuses and the presidency of the United States.

I still maintain an immense amount of respect for Michele.  The reasons are many.  She’s never betrayed conservatives on issues like taxes, the Right to Life, and the Second Amendment.  So over the past few months, I have been saddened at the dismissive way she’s been treated among some conservatives especially after winning the Iowa Straw Poll.

But the fact is, there is a clear top tier in the race for the Republican nomination for President, both here in Iowa and nationally.  Ron Paul is easily the most conservative of this group.

The truth is, it was an excruciatingly difficult decision for me to decide between supporting Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul at the beginning of this campaign.  Dr. Paul and his supporters were a major help in my successful campaigns for Iowa House and Senate even when I couldn’t count on the support of the Republican establishment here in Iowa.

Of course, battling the establishment is nothing new for Dr. Paul or for myself.  During my time in the General Assembly, I’ve established myself as a leader in the fights for traditional marriage, the Right to Life, and the protection of the Second Amendment – sometimes even against the wishes of my own party.

Since my election, I’ve learned that doing the right thing isn’t always easy.  It’s easy to see why so many legislators “sell out” once elected.  The pressure to do so is immense.

But what America needs now is a President who will not just “go along to get along.”  Instead, we must send someone who puts doing what is right above all else to the White House.  That candidate is Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is the only candidate to predict the current mess we find ourselves in economically, and he’s the only candidate to offer a true plan to cut spending and balance our budget.

He’s also consistently spoken out against government spending, assaults on individual liberties, and unnecessary trillion-dollar military adventurism for over 30 years.  Polls show he is the Republican candidate that can take on and defeat President Obama in November 2012.

Like all true conservatives, I wholeheartedly agree with Ron Paul that government is too big, and both parties share in the blame.  We agree that it is immoral to print money and pass on mounds of debt to the next generation.  We agree that life begins at conception and must be protected.  We both believe that the Second Amendment must be defended unwaveringly, and that there are too many wars being fought with no end in sight and no obvious path to a defined victory.

Of course, as a state legislator, I recognize that Dr. Paul’s strong views on the 10th Amendment will enable me to fight for what I believe in right in my own backyard instead of having to constantly wait on one-size-fits-all “solutions” from Washington, D.C.

With the entire Republican establishment intent on smearing Ron Paul and his dedicated supporters, I understand this decision could impact the way people see me and my entire political career.  But this is the right decision, and one in which I proudly stand behind.

To the truly wonderful people I met on the Bachmann campaign, I look forward to working with them in the future as we further the fights for the Right to Life, traditional marriage, and the restoration of our Second Amendment rights here in Iowa.   I personally wish her all the best as she continues to battle in Congress.

As for conservatives who are rightly concerned with defeating establishment Republicans Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and – even more importantly – Barack Obama in 2012, Ron Paul has established himself as the clear choice.

If you are as frustrated as I am with what’s been done by the ruling class, I urge you to join me in supporting Dr. Paul.  We can send the national big government political establishment a message they will never forget by voting for Ron Paul for President in the January 3 Iowa Caucuses.

Ron Paul Campaign Releases New Pro-life Ad Featuring Some of His Former Patients

Women patients attest to Dr. Paul’s character, professionalism and commitment to life

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign unveiled its new prolife ad “Always on the Right Path” featuring four former patients of Dr. Paul’s medical practice in Brazoria County, Texas.

Dr. Paul, an Air Force flight surgeon and 12-term Congressman from Texas, is by trade an accomplished OB-GYN who personally delivered more than 4,000 babies.

The 60-second online ad will be shared via email and on websites with conservative, prolife, and values voter audiences beginning today.  It begins with a narrator describing Dr. Paul as a prolific doctor, a man of faith, and a man committed to protecting life.  However, the moving testimonials of his patients are what the ad features most prominently – and most effectively.

“Some people need to have a good word said about them.  Ron is the sort of person that his life is his good word,” former patient Laura Mays offers in the ad.  “Ron did not let Washington change him,” Ms. Mays later adds.

“He not only protects unborn life, but he also walks through journeys with women and he has for years,” Kara Gore proclaims in the ad.

“It’s not hard for someone who is a Christian and who truly believes to stay on the right path, and I think that’s what kind of person Ron Paul is,” Diane Wilson declares in the ad.

“This ad is unequaled in its authenticity, and in its capacity to convey the message that not only is Ron Paul the Champion of the Constitution, he is also a champion of life with particular emphasis on the unborn,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.  “This is a clear case of credible subject matter serving as its own convincing message.”

Iowa Grassroots Digital Billboard

Some of our Iowa friends at Ron Paul Forums asked us to give them a hand in raising money to put up a few digital billboards in high traffic area in Iowa. Naturally, we said yes!

There will be variations of the slogan below the logo that will rotate from a pool of versions onto the digital board each time it refreshes. If you have a good idea for the line of text hit us up in the comments below!

The Goal is $6000, $3000/week for 2 weeks, including the full day of Jan 3rd, the day of the Iowa Caucus.

- There are three billboards in this digital display series, all located in Des Moines (cost covers all three boards).
- The billboards are located across from Merle Hay Mall (one of the state’s busiest), along interstate I-80, and along I-235 (Des Moines freeway).
- The ad displays for 8 seconds every 64 seconds at each billboard location, for a total of 1250 spots per board, which is a total of 3750 per day for all three boards. The cost per spot is $0.11.
- Billboard locations can be viewed here: http://www.clearchanneloutdoor.com/products/digital/don/des_moines/ (In blue, Billboard #2)
- Combined, the three billboards create 380,000 impressions per week (estimated “views”, not just traffic).

Unfortunately we don’t have a ticker available at the moment, but will be manually updating the total each day.

Total raised (updated 12-19-11): $0/$6000

RevPAC Ron Paul Billboard Overlooks Las Vegas

By Laura Myers (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL).

Towering over a tire repair shop in downtown Las Vegas, a billboard displays Ron Paul’s smiling face and a pitch to vote for him in the Feb. 4 GOP presidential caucus in Nevada.

“The only candidate who predicted the economic crisis is the only one who can fix it,” the billboard proclaims, referring to Paul’s repeated warnings of a Wall Street and housing market meltdown.

The man behind the billboard isn’t Ron Paul. And the money didn’t come from the Texas congressman’s presidential campaign, which has nothing to do with the outdoor ad.

Instead, an online poker player raised nearly $3,000 over the Internet in three days to help pay for the billboard, which went up Tuesday and will stay up through the Feb. 4 caucuses. Robert Fellner of Las Vegas is among thousands of Paul supporters investing time and money in a grass-roots movement promoting the GOP candidate, but outside of his official campaign.

Photo Gallery: Manhattan Fundraiser

More than 120 Ron Paul supporters from the New York/New Jersey area gathered at the Manhattan Bridgewaters on December 5 to hear five nationally known experts in their respective fields explain “Why Ron Paul is Right” on health care,  the Constitution, foreign policy, the Federal Reserve and the economy.

RevolutionPAC’s fundraiser brought together Dr. Alieta Eck, Professor Kevin Gutzman, Dr. Michael Scheuer, James Grant and Peter Schiff, who made eloquent statements about how Rep. Ron Paul’s presidential platform would turn America around, and provide the needed change to create sustainable prosperity and peaceful relations with the Muslim world.

Event host – finance professor Dr. Murray Sabrin, RevPAC board member and longtime supporter of Ron Paul’s congressional and presidential campaigns – remarked, “When every GOP primary voter hears these five speakers detail Ron Paul’s insights about the ills facing America and his plan restore the country to its philosophical roots of limited government, free enterprise and a common sense foreign policy, he will easily win the GOP presidential nomination.”

Video of the speeches is forthcoming.

New Hampshire State Senator Ray White Endorses Ron Paul

Cites Paul’s Consistent Record and Economic Plan

CONCORD, N.H. – New Hampshire District 9 State Senator Ray White (R-Bedford/ Merrimack) today announced his endorsement of 2012 GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul.

“Unlike the other candidates, Ron Paul has been singing the same tune for years—going back to his first term in Congress,” said Senator White. “He has understood and tried to warn us for decades about the economic crisis we now face, and he is the only candidate who understands the gravity of the situation.

“Without an immediate course correction in federal spending and federal debt, we will reach a point of no return. But with serious economic policies targeting our ballooning budget and fiscal irresponsibility, we still have an opportunity to turn this looming meltdown into an actual recovery.

“Ron Paul’s Plan to Restore America is that opportunity. No one else has put forward a plan to dig this nation out of debt and out of trouble in only three years, and only Ron Paul will do it without ransacking the security of seniors, veterans, and the people who have, unfortunately, come to depend on government programs in these tough times.

“The core of an American recovery must be fiscal responsibility from Day 1 of the new administration. And we can trust Ron Paul to deliver.”

Ray White (R-Bedford) Senator District 9, is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). He specializes in employee benefits and financial planning.

VIDEO: Gingrich – Selling Access

Gingrich in his own words, a Washington ‘insider’

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today the release of its latest ad, ‘Selling Access’, another two-minute web video aimed at former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, calling him out as a corrupt Washington insider who got rich through influence-peddling.

The video, which the campaign plans to promote prominently on conservative web sites, includes a clip of Gingrich calling himself an ‘insider’ and another in which the former Speaker brags about getting paid $60,000-a-speech. The video comes after the viral success of Paul’s earlier web ad, ‘Serial Hypocrisy’, which criticizes Gingrich for many of the same issues.

“These are all legitimate and important issues to point out to the American people,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton. “If Americans are serious about changing the status quo in Washington, then they must take into account the record of someone who profited from the housing collapse with taxpayers’ money, advocated for Obamacare-style individual mandates, and who played the Washington game of getting rich due to influence as well as anyone.”

Washington State Rep. Cary Condotta Endorses Ron Paul for the Presidency

GOP lawmaker from East Wenatchee to speak, reiterate support at state office grand opening

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – Washington State Rep. Cary Condotta (R- East Wenatchee) has publicly endorsed Ron Paul for the presidency, and will reiterate his support for the Champion of the Constitution at an event next week.

In endorsing the 12-term Congressman from Texas, Rep. Condotta praised Dr. Paul for being the most resolute on economic policy, a trait sorely needed during this period of government-imposed economic weakness.

“We have heard way too much about hope and change, when all we have done year after year is elect candidates with basic variations on the same game plan,” said Rep. Condotta.

“America became successful because Americans were unafraid to step out with bold, principle-based concepts that set us on a path to prosperity.  It is once again time to be bold and principled.  Ron Paul is the only candidate that offers that possibility,” added Rep. Condotta.

The North Central Washington city of Wenatchee has approximately 110,000 residents in the metro area, making it the largest city in Chelan County.  Support from Wenatcheeites such as Rep. Condotta will prove priceless leading up to the March 3, 2012 state Republican caucuses.

Rep. Condotta graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in economics and business.  Always interested in politics, Condotta started a radio talk show in 2000 titled “Return to America” based on the ideas of Ron Paul.  The show succeeded and in 2001 led to Condotta’s election to the Washington State House of Representatives.  Now in his fifth term, Rep. Condotta is an outspoken supporter of Ron Paul and the principles for which he stands.

Rep. Condotta will reiterate his endorsement before a crowd of Ron Paul supporters at 4:30 p.m. PST on Thursday, December 15that the Ron Paul Washington headquarters, located at 13600 NE 20th Street, Bellevue, WA 98005.  Doors open at 4:00 p.m.

Also that evening, Washington campaign staff will sign up supporters for volunteer and caucus training, distribute promotional materials, watch the GOP debate live, and involve volunteers in contacting voters.  Soft drinks and appetizers will be served initially, and pizza will be ordered during the debate time.

“We’re gratified to have the endorsement of Rep. Condotta, whose promotion of economic liberty is in the tradition of Ron Paul.  Rep. Condotta’s participation in our grand opening event promises the make an already-promising evening even more memorable,” said Washington State Executive Director Pedro Serra.

To join Rep. Condotta’s mission to support the principles of Ron Paul, join him on Facebook by clicking here.  Join the official Washington for Ron Paul group on Facebook by clicking here.

Ron Paul Campaign Releases 60-Second Version of Newt Ad

Ad takes hard look at the former Speaker’s record

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today that it will release a shorter 60-second version of an earlier web advertisement that challenges former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on a group of issues dear to conservative voters.

Much of the ad is in the former Speaker’s own voice, and after a few statements by Newt it features news clips about the former Speaker’s lobbying ties to government mortgage giant Freddie Mac, a firm that helped perpetuate the financial crisis and recession. In addition, the spot showcases discussion of Newt’s lobbying ties to healthcare firms prior to his support of an Obama-Pelosi-Reid individual mandate as part of the recent wildly unpopular healthcare reform, to the absolute horror of nationally-syndicated conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh.

The campaign is shipping the ad to Iowa TV stations today, and it will be going up as part of an expanded Paul buy in Iowa beginning on Wednesday. It will run in conjunction with Paul’s other new ad, ‘Big Dog’.

“We wanted to ensure this ad reached as many voters as possible, to debunk the myth that the Newt we are seeing on the 2012 campaign trail is the conservative he has been touted to be all along,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.

“The voters are looking for authentic conservatives who are able to show a decades-long career of consistently walking the walk of Constitutional principles, limited government, and promoting sound economic policies.  Ron Paul is the only Republican presidential candidate with that record.”

Herman Cain Supporters Flock to Ron Paul

HermanCainForums.com founder endorses Paul, urges 18K+ members to follow suit, notes Revolution PAC

Northbrook, IL 12-5-2011 | An online community created in support of Herman Cain for president has now shifted its allegiance to Congressman Ron Paul, notes Revolution PAC. The administrator of HermanCainForums.com, a website with more than 18,000 registered members, publicly endorsed Rep. Paul Saturday following news that Cain dropped from the Republican primary race.

“I had always liked a lot of what Ron Paul advocates. I don’t agree with him on everything but probably 90 percent,” the administrator, identified by the screen name ‘Constitution,’ said in a post Saturday. “I am going to encourage all Ron Paul supporters to come here and openly support Ron Paul … He is now my new official candidate for president.”

Cain suspended his presidential campaign earlier that day in the wake of multiple allegations against him of sexual harassment and news an alleged extramarital affair.

The HermanCainForums.com founder says he is backing Rep. Paul despite calls to throw his support behind Newt Gingrich. In the same Saturday post, the individual refuses support to Gingrich because he is said to favor individual mandates, support the Patriot Act, have taken millions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac while touting the companies’ stability, have taken more than $35 million via his think tank from health care industry lobbies that supported individual mandates, have supported the bailout and support global warming/climate change.

“Congressman Paul is continuously drawing new support based on the unparalleled strength and consistency of his message,” explains Revolution PAC Chair Gary Franchi. “We welcome all former Herman Cain supporters to the Ron Paul Revolution!”

Ron Paul continues to measure up well to Barack Obama in Iowa in head-to-head matchups. According to an NBC-Marist survey conducted Nov. 27-29 among 2,896 registered voters, Paul ties Obama, with each candidate garnering 42 percent of the vote. Paul’s Republican rivals fare significantly worse against the presumed Democrat nominee.

Ron Paul Scores a ‘Favorability Fest’ in Des Moines Register Poll

Paul benefits from candidate ratings as well as federal department closure preferences

ANKENY, Iowa – Emerging details from a poll commissioned by the influential Des Moines Register newspaper announced this weekend reveal voter attitudes highly favorable to 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul.

Paul polls a strong second place garnering 18 percent, behind Newt Gingrich and ahead of Mitt Romney who have 25 and 16 percent, respectively.  Paul’s Iowa support has grown in the last three Des Moines Register polls from 7 percent in June to 12 percent in October to 18 percent presently.  Paul is also among those whose support did not wane over the period the poll was taken.

Poll details found here and here reveal that 15 percent of respondents reported seeing Paul in person within the last year, while 20 percent reported seeing Rep. Michele Bachmann.  Yet, Rep. Bachmann polls at a low 8 percent, less than half of what Paul polls.

With pizza baron Herman Cain having suspended his presidential run, Gingrich with 14 percent now leads among respondents who, regardless of whom they support, believe is most likely to have a scandal in the White House if elected.  Respondents said Paul with 2 percent, is among the candidates least likely.

Paul with 24 percent is regarded as the most principled candidate, 7 points ahead of Bachmann and a whopping 13 percentage points ahead of Gingrich.  Paul with 32 percent is deemed the most fiscally responsible, more than double his nearest contender Gingrich who garnered just 15 percent.

Paul with 17 percent is judged to be among the most socially conservative of all candidates, 7 percentage points ahead of Gingrich.  This is especially notable given that Rick Santorum – who is neither first nor second – makes family-friendly issues a cornerstone of his candidacy.

Paul in this poll is also given high marks for being among the candidates best able to bring about real change and among the candidates best able to turn the economy around.

New poll details also reveal broad support among Republican caucus goers for closing the federal departments of HUD and Education by measures of 60 and 54 percent, respectively, and 57 percent of respondents favor shuttering the Environmental Protection Agency.

Of respondents, 45 percent favor closing Energy, 42 percent favor eliminating the TSA, 36 percent favor getting rid of the Federal Reserve Bank, 34 percent want to shutter Commerce, and 32 percent want to close Interior.  These data are available in today’s print edition of the Des Moines Register.

Given that Ron Paul’s “Plan to Restore America” proposes eliminating five federal departments, and that he is the nation’s foremost Fed and TSA skeptic, information of this kind too bodes well for Paul’s candidacy.  Paul’s plan also calls for $1 trillion in spending cuts during year one of a Paul presidency, resulting in a balanced federal budget in year three.

These data are derived from the 401 likely Republican caucus goers and have a margin of error of +/- 4.9 percent.
