Ron Paul Super PAC Live Webcasting SC Primary, Urging Cable/Network Boycott

Revolution PAC panel and correspondents to break down contest and road ahead.

Northbrook, IL (PRWEB) January 20, 2012 - Revolution PAC, backer of U.S. Rep. Ron Paul’s bid for the Republican nomination, will host a live webcast on Saturday following the South Carolina Primary election. In conjunction with the event, the super committee is calling for a nationwide boycott of cable/network outlets, which have exhibited bias against Rep. Paul in their reporting.

“Pew Research just a few months ago confirmed the immense media bias against Dr. Paul,” explains Revolution PAC Chair Gary Franchi. “Despite his electoral success, he consistently receives the least national media coverage of all Republican candidates.”

Case in point, notes Franchi, was CNN’s post-Southern Republican Presidential Debate coverage Thursday, which provided coverage of neither Rep. Paul nor his debate remarks.

“Quite simply, Ron Paul’s supporters are losing their patience and are creating their own media opportunities,” says Franchi. “Revolution PAC is pleased to be able to offer this forum, and we anticipate a lively event on Saturday.”

Election analysis will be provided as the polls close tomorrow by Revolution PAC’s South Carolina correspondents and an in-studio grassroots liberty panel. The public is invited to participate in the webcast from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. CST Saturday, January 21 by visiting http://www.RevolutionPAC.com.

Rep. Paul received the coveted endorsement of South Carolina State Sen. Tom Davis Sunday, Davis calling Paul “a Tea Party of one against a towering wave of red ink.” At a Myrtle Beach press conference, Davis added, “There’s only one person speaking to what I believe is the core problem of our country today. The biggest threat to our liberty comes from debt.”

Joining Davis, three additional South Carolina state senators – Sen. Lee Bright (Spartanburg), Sen. Kevin Bryant (Spartanburg) and Sen. Danny Verdin (Greenville) – endorsed Rep. Paul Tuesday.

Reinforcing what is shaping up as a two-man race, Rep. Paul and Mitt Romney are the only Republican candidates who have successfully secured positions on the primary ballots of every state, reported South Carolina’s The State newspaper last week. A CNN/ORC International Poll released Monday also revealed that Paul and Romney are the only Republican contenders tied with Barack Obama in a likely general election matchup.

Revolution PAC is supporting U.S. Rep. Ron Paul’s campaign for the Republican nomination and consistent, constitutional message with targeted TV advertising, direct mail campaigns and innovative Web promotions complemented by billboards and radio ads in key primary states. Unlimited donations by individuals, businesses and organizations are being accepted by Revolution PAC to support that effort.

Ron Paul Support in South Carolina Surges and Puts Him Solidly in Top Three

Paul benefits from his trademark steady growth and his competitive Iowa, New Hampshire results

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul now polls an even stronger top three in the key early voting state of South Carolina, according to a new survey.

In the latest ARG poll Paul is in third place garnering 20 percent, with Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich in first and second place with 29 and 25 percent, respectively.  Other poll highlights include Paul polling strongest of all candidates among independents, and Paul polling strong among Tea Party members.

ARG polled 600 likely Republican primary voters on January 11th and 12th.  Since the last poll of its kind taken January 4th to 5th, Paul gained the most – surging from 9 to 20 percent – while Rick Santorum lost the most, freefalling from 24 to 7 percent.  In the prior poll, Paul was third at 9 percent, Gingrich and Santorum were tied for second at 24 percent, and Romney with 31 percent was first.  Over the life of the ARG poll this presidential cycle, Paul’s support has grown from 1 percent in April when he declared his candidacy to 20 percent, where it is today.

“On the heels of his competitive showings in Iowa and New Hampshire, Ron Paul is now surging in the key early voting state of South Carolina.  In a week’s time the congressman’s support in South Carolina has grown tremendously, attributed to the fact that more voters are learning about his platform of limited government and a return to personal and economic liberty,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.

Jim DeMint: The GOP Must Start Listening to Ron Paul

Said Senator Jim DeMint on FOX News this morning:

If Republicans don’t understand the important aspects of what Ron Paul is saying, we won’t be able to exist as a party, certainly not a majority party… The debate in the Republican party needs to be between libertarians and conservatives… There’s no longer room for moderates and liberals because we don’t have any money to spend, so I don’t want to be debating with anyone who wants to grow government.”

Ron Paul Celebrates Historic Second Place Win in New Hampshire Primary

“We urge Ron Paul’s opponents who have been unsuccessfully trying to be the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney to unite by getting out of the race and uniting behind Paul’s candidacy.”

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – Ron Paul tonight scored an historic second-place victory in the 2012 New Hampshire Primary.  Below please find comments from National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton:
“Ron Paul tonight had an incredibly strong second-place finish in New Hampshire and has stunned the national media and political establishment.
“When added to Paul’s top-tier showing in Iowa, it’s clear he is the sole Republican candidate who can take on and defeat both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama.
“The race is becoming more clearly a two-man race between establishment candidate Mitt Romney and Ron Paul, the candidate of authentic change.  That means there is only one true conservative choice.
“Ron Paul has won more votes in Iowa and New Hampshire than any candidate but Mitt Romney.
“Ron Paul and Mitt Romney have been shown in national polls to be the only two candidates who can defeat Barack Obama.
“And Ron Paul and Mitt Romney are the only two candidates who can run a full, national campaign, competing in state after state over the coming weeks and months.   Ron Paul’s fundraising numbers — over $13 million this quarter — also prove he will be able to compete with Mitt Romney.  No other candidate can do all of these things.
“Ron Paul is clearly the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney as the campaign goes forward.
“We urge Ron Paul’s opponents who have been unsuccessfully trying to be the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney to unite by getting out of the race and uniting behind Paul’s candidacy.
“Ron Paul has the boldest plan to cut spending, a dedication to protecting life, and a lifelong dedication to the Constitution and limited government.  He also has the necessary support to campaign nationwide against Mitt Romney.
“Our campaign is already planning ahead for South Carolina, Florida, and beyond.  Soon Ron Paul will head to South Carolina to begin a feverish round of campaigning.
“Ron Paul is in this race for the long haul.  And he is ready to fight.

“See you on the campaign trail.”

Ron Paul Campaign Announces South Carolina TV Ad ‘Betrayal’ Aimed at Santorum

Hard-hitting television, Internet ad argues that Washington insider Rick is an untrustworthy serial hypocrite on spending and right to work

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today its new ad ‘Betrayal’ aimed at Rick Santorum.

The ad will begin airing on Monday, January 9th on television in the key early voting state of South Carolina.  In addition, the campaign has arranged for internet promotion on websites where conservatives congregate.

‘Betrayal’ exposes Rick Santorum as another serial hypocrite in the vein of Newt Gingrich, showcasing the former U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania’s record of duplicity on issues such as spending – including raising the debt ceiling – and insider lobbying.  The ad also features Santorum’s appalling record on right to work, an issue dear to South Carolina residents but one of pivotal importance right now due to the NLRB-Boeing dispute.  The ad also includes Rick Santorum’s now-infamous confession that he is, in his own words, “no longer a deficit hawk.”

“Ron Paul can come to South Carolina with a clear conscience and an impeccable record on the issues important to voters there: fiscal restraint, right to work, and strict adherence to the Constitution and one’s own promises.  In addition, Dr. Paul has support from many of our armed services men and women,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.

“This ad showcases the real Rick Santorum and it’s the reason why Santorum should be leery of competing in the ‘First in the South’ Republican primary, and it is why we hope for a strong, competitive showing in the Palmetto State,” added Mr. Benton.

RON PAUL CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCES SOUTH CAROLINA TV AD BUY

Celebrated prolife and veterans ads to begin airing today in the Palmetto State

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today that it will begin airing its celebrated prolife and veterans ads – ‘Staying on the Right Path’ and ‘He Served’ – in the key early voting state of South Carolina.
The ads feature some of Ron Paul’s patients attesting to his character, professionalism, and prolife credentials and his longstanding devotion to veterans’ issues, respectively.
The ad buy is in the six-figure dollar range and begins today on broadcast and cable television.
“Airing the well-received ads ‘Staying on the Right Path’ and ‘He Served’ will bring Ron Paul’s impeccable record on the sanctity of life – at all stages of life, including at the conclusion of one’s service to the nation – to key early state voters,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.
South Carolina voters are receptive to Ron Paul’s message that life is precious and military service is honorable, all in the context of his overall philosophy of a return to personal and economic liberty,” said Mr. Benton.

Ron Paul Remains Competitive Against Obama in Latest Polls

Paul stays within striking distance of President

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – In a new McClatchy-Marist poll, 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul comes in 8 points behind President Barack Obama, 49 to 41 percent, and he is one of only three candidates within single digits of the President.

These results immediately follow a Public Policy poll from yesterday, showing Paul 6 points behind Obama, but the only candidate in the GOP field besting Obama among independent voters, 48 to 39 percent.

“This is yet another poll demonstrating the increasing popularity of Ron Paul’s message,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.  “Congressman Paul has the ability to remain competitive against the president as his base of support continues to expand to different groups.”

These poll results follow an earlier Bloomberg News poll showing Paul in a statistical first place finish in Iowa, a key early voting state.  Also, a late October CNN/TIME poll showed him in the top three in the key states of Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.

Dr. Michael Vasovski to lead South Carolina effort

LAKE JACKSON, Texas– Today, the Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced the appointment of Dr. Michael Vasovski as South Carolina Campaign Chairman.

“As a sole medical practitioner, I am also a small business owner, and know full well the burdens placed on small businesses by the federal government,” said Dr. Vasovski in a statement. “Dr. Paul is the only presidential candidate with a serious plan to reduce such regulations and cut $1 trillion from the federal budget in his first year in office. I am honored to support Ron Paul’s campaign for the Republican nomination.”

Ron Paul Campaign Announces Major New Ad Buy! (+ VIDEO)

Two new ads capture momentum following ‘Plan to Restore America’ rollout

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign announced today the release of two new broadcast campaign ads that capitalize on the aggressive posture Dr. Paul displayed during his Las Vegas, Nevada “Plan to Restore America” launch.

The 30-second spot “Plan” clearly explains Paul’s balanced budget plan to voters, and the 60-second spot “Consistent” compares his distinguished record of advocating conservative principles with the records of his establishment opponents Herman Cain, Mitt Romney and Rick Perry.

“Plan” and “Consistent” are part of a two week, multi-million dollar blitz in the key early states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada.  The campaign will also run radio versions of these spots, and complement the broadcast push with substantial voter outreach on the same topics.

“The absolutely positive reception of Ron Paul’s ‘Plan to Restore America’ means we’re obligated to meet an even higher standard of outreach and discussion,” said Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton, a “Plan to Restore America” co-author.

“No other Republican candidate’s economic plan matches that of Dr. Paul’s, so in turn we thought it only right to follow with a worthy campaign advertising effort,” said Mr. Benton.

VIDEO: Ron Paul Campaign Announces Newest 2012 Ad

‘Secure’ affirms Dr. Paul’s defense bona fides

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign announced today the release of a new national security-themed television ad that is part of a seven-figure ad push that began two weeks ago.
The 30-second ad titled “Secure”cements Dr. Paul’s reputation as a leader who is fully prepared to deal with authentic threats to U.S. national security and ready to be the nation’s commander-in-chief.  The spot will air beginning today on cable and broadcast television in the key early states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada.
“Ron Paul is the only Republican presidential candidate to put forth the notion that a strong national defense means ending destructive unconstitutional wars having an unclear connection to national security, ending costly state-building in regions where our presence is unwanted, and bringing hundreds of thousands of troops home to make America safer and cut overseas spending,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.
“This ad will affirm Dr. Paul’s standing as the best candidate to face issues pertaining to national security all in the context of refocusing our efforts on protecting America’s borders and threats that might arrive on America’s soil, not foreign lands,” said Mr. Benton.
